COLUMBIA, S.C. (January 2, 2020) – Stevens & Wilkinson, a full-service architecture, engineering, and interior design firm with offices in Atlanta and Columbia, S.C., is proud to announce our recent donation to The American Institute of Architects’ South Carolina Chapter’s (AIASC) ELEVATION Capital Campaign. The firm has committed a total of $10,000 per year over the next three years.

Considered one of the most important initiatives of AIASC in the last 100 years, the ELEVATION Campaign supports the establishment of a new Center for Architecture (CFA), located in the Central Business District in downtown Columbia. Plans for the new space will transform the current AIASC office into a tool for further achieving the organization’s mission of advocating for South Carolina’s architectural profession.

“In our work, we are afforded opportunities to create positive and uplifting changes to our environments and the lives of others,” said, Robby Aull, AIA, ACHA, LEED AP, president of the firm’s South Carolina office. “To advocate for the architectural profession is to support the betterment of our communities and the ways in which we live our lives.”

Goals for the Center for Architecture center around enhancing the voice of AIASC by creating a space that brings members together both “physically and conceptually.” Future programming for the Center is in the works in order to share with the public the impact and value of design.

“As a firm we admire the work AIASC is doing for our state’s Built Environment. We are humbled to be in a position to contribute to their advocacy and initiatives – initiatives that include this ELEVATION Campaign,” continued Aull.
