Accommodating 900 Students

Based on the District’s detailed programmatic standards, Richland Two’s new Elementary School Prototype was designed with an infrastructure and core functions capable of accommodating up to 900 students.

Collaborative Classroom Clusters

While the basic requirements and standards for each school are identical, the District requested that each of the school’s feature a number of collaborative classroom clusters per grade, a “dueling” corridor circulation and a cupola to serve as each school’s main focal point. Classrooms were grouped based on age and grade with corresponding administrative planning rooms within each wing.

Spaces for Varying Sizes

The cafeteria and multi-purpose rooms were built with an electronically operable wall that separates each space and easily accommodates groups of varying sizes.

Site adapted three times, the Richland Two Elementary School Prototype includes Round Top Elementary School, Sandlapper Elementary School and Polo Road Elementary School.
