Georgia Department of Natural Resources - Law Enforcement Division Headquarters
After serving as the home to the Wildlife Resource Division, SSOE | Stevens & Wilkinson's main goal was to renovate the building to better accommodate the needs and identity of Georgia's Department of Natural Resources' Law Enforcement Division.
The key feature of this project is the main lobby space. Previously, the lobby was a constrained space with outdated finishes. In coordination with the Law Enforcement Division, SSOE | Stevens & Wilkinson generated a material palette that was lighter and more welcoming to the public. The lobby space has two feature walls; a wood-clad memorial wall honoring fallen officers, and a wall that displays historic artifacts of DNR's Law Enforcement Division.
Acting as the former headquarters of the Wildlife Resource Division, SSOE | Stevens & Wilkinson was tasked by Georgia’s Department of Natural Resources (Georgia DNR) to transform the building into the agency’s new Law Enforcement’s Regional Headquarters. Stevens & Wilkinson provided complete architectural and engineering services for the renovation.
