New Vocational School

This new vocational school was designed to complement the adjacent Grayson High School in color, materials and detailing by using a combination of brick and stucco on the exterior facade.

Extending the High School Experience

Our design solution reflects the learning program that extends the high school experience from a total academic base into practical areas of career development in fields such as hotel and hospitality, culinary arts, theater arts and management, animal science, horticulture, television, and video and music production.

Creating Hands-on Experiences

By providing state-of-the-art commercial kitchens, our design gives the students hands-on experience for a career in culinary arts. The black box theater enables students to learn how to operate the functions of a theater including props, lighting, set changes, and audio and video interfaces, as well as functioning in concert with the actual preparation and staging of student productions.

Grayson Technical High School reflected a design solution that extends the high school experience from one based on academics to a more “hands on” approach.
