New Additions

The Dunwoody Community Church addition is a new 400 seat sanctuary on a beautifully wooded site. The steeple wall – a glass curtain – floods the inside with light and a view of creation. The addition also includes a baptistery and chapel that seats 30 to 40 people, a parlor and administration area and meeting spaces below. The worship center was inspired by noted architect Fay Jones’ design of Thorncrown Chapel in Eureka Springs, Arkansas.

60-foot-tall Building Element

Many Christian symbols are seamlessly incorporated into the architectural design. The 60-foot-tall cross is the highest point of the building, symbolizing that Christ is above all and the 12 squares in the siding on each side of the cross represent the 12 disciples.

Growing Needs

The existing building was also renovated to accommodate the growing educational needs of the church and the parking area was expanded and enhanced with landscaping.

The Dunwoody Community Church features a new 400-seat sanctuary, bapistery and chapel, and renovated worship center, all located on a beautifully wooded site.
