Major Renovation & Addition

The DeKalb County School System’s goal for Cross Keys High School was to create a positive learning environment by undertaking a major renovation and addition to accommodate the needs of twenty-first century learning.

School Features & Sustainable Design Elements

Renovations to the existing school’s classrooms and labs, administrative offices, cafeteria, kitchen, gymnasium, media center and career technology classrooms included new, energy-efficient windows, doors, ceilings, lighting and finishes and casework. In the career technology portion of the school, new construction was grafted onto an existing classroom wing to create a separate entrance and unique identity for the career technology program.

The renovation and addition of Cross Keys High School included a number of sustainable design elements that centered around career technology classrooms, labs, administrative offices, media center, and cafeteria/gymnasium.
