Historic Downtown Location

The Corn Center for the Visual Arts in historic downtown Columbus provides Columbus State University’s nationally accredited art and theater programs with state-of-the-art program spaces.

Creating 'Areas of Interest'

The Center provides individual “areas of interest” creative studios, including classrooms, gallery and exhibition space. Other facilities include a 350-seat proscenium theater, a 150-seat “Black Box” studio theater, classrooms, lecture halls, and rehearsal spaces. Both the Art and Theater disciplines include multiple computer and graphics labs.

More Centralized Campus

The consolidation of Art and Theater adjacent to the existing Downtown Schwob School of Music consolidates all of the arts into CSU’s central RiverPark campus.

The Corn Center for Visual Arts included local architecture and engineering firm, HGA Architects and Engineers.
