Multi-faceted Housing Study

Stevens & Wilkinson, in association with VMDO Architects, worked on the initial planning study and conceptual design of a multifaceted housing, post office, and academic complex to be located in the historic center of Clemson University’s Core Campus.

Creating the 'Clemson Experience'

Challenged to fashion the edification of the Clemson “experience,” the design team tried to capture those most prominent attributes of the University throughout the study.

Balance of Spaces

The project balances outdoor gathering spaces and streetscape with a variety of four-story building blocks that house the various functions of mixed-use developments. The construction sequence will require that the first phase address housing, dining, and academic spaces.

The Clemson Core Campus Precinct Study outlined more than 400,000-gross square feet of flexible housing, dining, retail, and academic housing.
