SSOE | Stevens & Wilkinson collaborated with Beaumont Health staff to select the appropriate solution that met their changing needs. While the overall design intent for the 6th floor was to match an existing 5th floor ICU, SSOE | S&W added many enhancements to cater to the specific needs of the CICU.
Cobb County School District – King Springs Elementary School

The King Springs Elementary School is a 67 Instructional Unit replacement school that is located on the same site as the current school in Smyrna, GA. The program is based on Cobb County Schools standards and includes Pre-K, Kindergarten, Primary (grades 1-3), and Intermediate (grades 4-5) classrooms.

Sumter, South Carolina State Veterans’ Home – Small House Model Care Facility

The new VA Small House Model Long-Term Care Facilities are approximately 142,000-gross square feet each and are designed as single-story facilities organized around a series of courtyards. Each courtyard will be surrounded by a central community building and four adjacent neighborhood buildings. SSOE | Stevens & Wilkinson , in conjunction with EBA, Ernest Bland Associates, P.C. recently completed the design documents for the two new 104-bed Veterans Nursing Facilities.

Georgia Department of Public Safety

The Georgia Department of Public Safety consists of a 98,000 square foot building with a 200-car parking garage located in downtown Atlanta. The project will include a memorial honoring fallen troops, office and training areas, 150-seat auditorium, flexible conference rooms, and unobstructed views of the neighboring campus.

Pittsburgh Yards

The Annie E. Casey Foundation selected SSOE | Stevens & Wilkinson as the architect for the Nia Building given the adaptive reuse elements and sustainable focus for the project. Columbia Core Partners (a partnership between Core Venture Studio and Columbia Ventures) facilitated ongoing community engagement and project management. Through years of monthly neighborhood meetings and hard-hat tours, garnering resident feedback, and conducting market research, the transformation of Pittsburgh Yards is a catalytic development that encourages economic and entrepreneurial growth for the neighborhoods of NPU-V.
