Janice Wittschiebe - Stevens & Wilkinson - Atlanta, GAStevens & Wilkinson (S&W), a full-service architecture, engineering, and interior design firm, is proud to announce that Principal, Janice Wittschiebe, AIA, NCIDQ, LEED AP, was awarded the Bernard B. Rothschild Award by the American Institute of Architects Georgia Chapter (AIA Georgia). The Rothschild Award is the highest honor AIA Georgia can bestow on an individual, alive or deceased. The award is given annually in honor of Bernard B. Rothschild FAIA, who was a seminal figure in the architecture industry throughout the duration of his career. The award is given in recognition of the most distinguished service to the profession of architecture in the state of Georgia by an AIA Georgia member architect who exemplifies the principals of the profession. The awards were announced on April 27th.

“Janice is one of those architects you see once in a lifetime,” said Bill Clark, AIA, LEED AP, principal and president of S&W’s Georgia office. “She has made numerous contributions to the state of Georgia not only through her work with Stevens & Wilkinson but also through the countless community-oriented initiatives she leads. We are honored AIA Georgia selected one of our own to be this year’s Rothschild Award recipient, as I cannot think of anyone more deserving.”

Wittschiebe has been a leader in the industry for more than 39 years as a designer, manager, and principal for numerous multi-faceted projects. As a registered architect, interior designer and LEED accredited professional, she brings a wide range of abilities and understanding to her projects and the industry as a whole. Janice’s talent for organizing design teams that come together to meet the client’s needs is unparalleled, and her ability to negotiate contracts and manage projects throughout each phase helps ensure they stay within budget and are delivered on time.

Janice is also passionately involved in the community. She devotes countless hours to a number of professional and non-profit organizations, mostly concentrating on the professional development of students, interns, and colleagues in the profession. Janice is also very active with her alma mater, Georgia Tech. She has served in a wide range of oversight positions, including being a member of the Georgia Tech Foundation, the Past Chair of the Georgia Tech Alumni Association and the Chair of the President’s Advisory Council.
