Limited space on the Georgia Tech campus mandated the construction of a new parking deck. The deck serves a number of surrounding research buildings and is situated along a future main pedestrian way. The owner wanted the parking deck to look like a builing In order to minimize its impact on campus. The new parking deck reflects the existing campus aesthetic with the use of prominent details and materials. The deck is constructed with precast stone and precast brick panels. Extensive lighting and custom fixtures give the deck a dramatic presence at night. The deck located on the North edge of campus references the collegial gothic in the historic campus.
