Bethesda Aquatic Center and Park Buildings

Located among the large trees and overlooking the park’s nature trails, the Bethesda Park Aquatic Center features an indoor leisure/water park pool with beach entry, a giant waterslide that exits and then reenters the building, river channel, hydrotherapy benches, waterplay structures, vortex and a ceiling spray. Also featured is a four-lane instructional pool that is separated from the waterpark by a glass wall. The sloping metal roofs rise and dip according to the necessities of the space inside, which allows for a fluid, sculptural shaping of the building.
