Mechanical Engineer

Open Position:  Mechanical Engineer

Experience:  10+ years professional experience in the design of HVAC, Plumbing  and Fire Protection systems

Education:  Minimum Education: B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited school or college

Location:  Columbia, SC

Employment Type:  Full-time

Job Status:  Active/Open

Reports to:  Director of Mechanical Engineering

The qualified professional will be responsible for the preparation of bid documents for commercial, healthcare, government, and educational-based projects.


  • Accredited degree in Mechanical Engineering – BSME
  • P.E. or E.I.T. preferred in South Carolina
  • Minimum of 10+ year’s professional experience in the design of HVAC, Plumbing and Fire Protection systems
  • AutoCAD and Revit experience preferred
  • Knowledge in the use of HVAC Trane Trace for building load calculations
  • Knowledge of International Building Codes and ASHRAE Standards
  • Experience working with the South Carolina Office of State Engineer (OSE)
  • Experience working with the South Carolina Office of School Facilities (OSF)
